At Alford Primary, we use the Just2Easy (J2E) Journal to share pupils’ learning with families and keep parents connected to their child’s progress. The Journal is an online platform that allows children to document their learning, reflect on their work, and share it safely with home.
The J2E Journal supports a wide range of learning across the curriculum. Pupils and teachers can upload writing, drawings, photos, videos, and other creative work, helping them capture and showcase their achievements. It also provides a safe space for children to reflect on their learning, set goals, and celebrate successes.
Key Features of the J2E Journal
Safe Online Sharing: Work is shared securely, giving families access to see their child’s learning at home.
Creativity and Expression: Pupils can use text, images, audio, and video to present their learning in a variety of ways.
Reflection and Feedback: Children can reflect on their work, and teachers can provide comments or guidance directly in the Journal.
Celebrating Achievements: Parents can celebrate successes alongside pupils, strengthening the link between home and school.
How the J2E Journal Helps Pupils and Families
Encourages children to take pride in their learning and document their progress.
Provides families with insight into classroom learning and opportunities to support their child.
Promotes digital literacy and safe online learning practices.
Strengthens the home-school connection, ensuring learning is visible and celebrated beyond the classroom.
At Alford, the J2E Journal is an important part of how we share learning with home, celebrate achievements, and encourage pupils to reflect on their growth as learners in a creative, engaging, and safe way.
Getting started with the J2E Journal is easy, but if you run into any difficulties, please don’t worry! You can speak to Jill or Jodie in the school office, or Mr Young, and we’ll be happy to help you get set up and make the most of the Journal.
